I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember.
(that’s me bottom left in 1968, photo taken by C. Siegel)
Inspired by my maternal Grandfather, a professional photographer in Austria.
My first camera was a Kodak instamatic complete with film cartridges and flash cubes, I can still remember the smell of the melting plastic every time a shot was taken.
Photography was always a way for me to tell a story.
A photograph can also reveal a truth or create a fantasy.
A photograph captures a moment in time, these moments will never be repeated exactly the same way again, each one unique.
It is with this in mind whenever I engage a subject, my goal is simple. To capture that moment and tell a story.
